What PSHP has done and does!

Liaison:

PSHP, in 2009, hosted a very successful meeting with delegates from Haras Nationaux/SIRE and British breed societies/studbooks to achieve a better understanding of each others' needs and develop an agreed process for managing the registrations of British horses residing or born in France.

Read below about how PSHP is being set up in full consultation with the industry

At an inaugural meeting in March 2006 a wide consultation process took place to facilitate the formation of lead bodies. (click here for consultation letter) Four proposed lead bodies were established:

  • Sport horses and ponies - A new body to be set up in conjunction with British Breeding (see below for news on how this is progressing in more detail)
  • Recreational horses and ponies - British Horse Society
  • Native and indigenous horses and ponies - British Horse Society
  • Racing thoroughbreds - Thoroughbred Breeders' Association

A Lead Body for Sport Horses and Ponies

British Breeding began the process of forming a Lead Body for the sport horse and pony sector with an initial meeting taking place on 24th January 2007.
