We're looking for a motivated, energetic and enthusiastic group of people to use their voice, make decisions and make a difference in equestrianism.

The BEF Youth Action Group is a new initiative to empower young people within the BEF, ensuring that youth members have a voice in equestrian governance and decision making.  The group will play a key role in informing, influencing and developing existing and future BEF youth projects with the aim of enabling young people to participate in decisions within equestrianism that affect them.

The group will be focused on providing feedback on current initiatives, leading the development of new Federation wide youth projects and a establishing a forum for sharing a variety of ideas and experiences of equestrianism.

Members of the group need to be:

  • Aged between 18 and 25
  • Be able to attend up to three meetings per year in Warwickshire, for which there is help towards travelling expenses.  The first will take place in November 2012.
  • Confident communicators
  • Effective listeners with an open minded approach to ideas and opinions.
  • Critical thinkers with creative solutions to the issues faced by young people in equestrianism.
If you think that you would make a great ambassador for equestrian sports please contact Matthew Cobble at
