National Equestrian Institute

It has become apparent that there is significant support for developing a focal point for the sport and leisure horse industry. The proposed National Equestrian Institute (NEI) could evolve in to a multi-site network linking existing and possibly new facilities to develop and promote excellence in leadership, coaching, production of the sport horse, equine science and education. Such a model could also provide suitable facilities for the training and development of our teams at all levels from Pony Riders through to the World Class squad.

The NEI could contribute further towards bringing equestrian sport together building on the cross-industry work of the BEF. The concept is currently being debated across the BEF and this page will evolve as plans are developed and implemented. Any comments and ideas are welcomed and should be directed to Tim Hadaway (BEF Consultant Head of Facilities) at info@bef.co.uk
