The BHS has registered with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) in England and Wales, with Disclosure Scotland and the Department of Heath in Northern Ireland and is the "umbrella body" for child protection and vulnerable adult checks within the equine industry.

Enhanced Disclosure Checks in Scotland
The Scottish Equestrian Association (SEA) is registered with the Central Registered Body in Scotland (CRBS) and Disclosure Scotland to provide Enhanced Disclosure checks for volunteers and people employed in the equestrian industry in Scotland. It is the "umbrella body" for Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult Enhanced Disclosure checks for Equestrian Sport and the Equestrian Industry in Scotland.
SEA carries out Enhanced Disclosure checks for its own member bodies, other British Equestrian Federation members and many employers not connected to equestrianism in Scotland.
