Coaching in the BEF
Our member bodies have a designated Coaching Development Officer who together form the Coaching Action Development Team (CDAT) which meets monthly.
CDAT is the National Source Group for Equestrian Coaching and is chaired by Suzanne Genery, BEF Head of Sports Development and supported by sportscoach UK.
The term coaching refers to teaching, instructing, training and all methods of helping a rider or horse/rider partnership to improve. Coaching means 'coaching of rider' or 'coaching of horse/rider partnership'.
The promotion of quality coaching is the privilege and responsibility of all organisations involved in our sport/industry.
